I never ever share pictures of the kitchen on here. I feel like it’s so beyond DIY it needs DEMO. I’m talking 80s laminate cabinets and matching laminate counters. I’ve spruced it up by plastering up my kid’s art work all over the place, still, it’s bad! But, it’s a rental so we deal with it because there are many other great qualities about this house… like cheap rent! Beyond it being totally hideous, it’s tiny. Forget two people cooking at one time.\u00a0 Also, figuring out some sort of organization in such a small space is a\u00a0struggle.<\/p>\n

\"Tips<\/p>\n

I’m always on the hunt for ways to organize a small kitchen. Things like keeping the countertop space free, having an organized pantry,<\/a> all are super important when your space is the size of a postage stamp. Amen?<\/p>\n

I’m helping us both out today and I’m sharing some of the ideas I’ve found for organizing a small kitchen. I can’t wait to incorporate some of this stuff.<\/p>\n

Labels, like these free printables ones<\/a>, are a great way to keep the pantry organized. These stackable canisters <\/a>\u00a0(affiliate link<\/em>)\u00a0are also a great space saver.<\/p>\n

And speaking of maximizing space. Isn’t this pegboard<\/a> a great way to organize kitchen utensils while freeing up cabinet space.\"51eb4f55fb04d6463f00389e._w.540_\"<\/p>\n

I mentioned freeing up counter space. These hanging baskets<\/a> are great for keeping the counters clutter free.<\/p>\n

I love the look of kitchen command centers but there is just no free wall space in my kitchen to incorporate one. I love this hidden kitchen organizer<\/a> because it’s tucked away behind a\u00a0cabinet door, hiding the clutter. When you have a small kitchen even the smallest bit of clutter than make the whole space feel unruly.<\/p>\n

Baskets in the pantry<\/a> seem pretty genius to me. It’s a great way to keep clutter contained and everything in its place.<\/p>\n

Speaking of genius pantry storage this one is on point. Velcro acrylic containers<\/a> stuck onto the inside of the pantry to hold the loose packets that always seem to get lost and disappear randomly (until you move and then you discover 12 taco seasonings you didn’t know you had…).<\/p>\n

\"Making-Home-Base-Etched-Glass-Canister-Labels\"<\/p>\n

Pretty storage is just as important as storage in general in my book. Putting ingredients in glass containers makes them pretty instantly. These etched labeled glass canisters<\/a> take it to another level.<\/p>\n

I have a bajillion cook books that never get used because I store them in a completely separate room. When I do get one out I end up leaving it on the counter for days until I get sick of looking it at and finally give in and put it away. I love these metal basket shelves<\/a> because they make beautiful storage. Having all of your cookbooks nearby is also a huge bonus.\"vita<\/p>\n

Sometimes you can’t help but have a few things out on the counter. The only way to keep the clutter at bay is to have them all corralled in a tray or beautiful vintage box<\/a> like this one. Perfect for tucking away those cutting boards, regularly used spices and oils. It would also be great as a coffee station.<\/p>\n

I know the struggle of having a small kitchen. It’s real. I feel it. If you are in the same boat, I hope some of these ideas sparked some inspiration so you can start making your kitchen work for you! Or if you have some tips to organize a small kitchen, I’d love to hear them!<\/p>\n
